This is a digital tach readout with red LED shift light all in one. Was in my last car for a couple weeks, removed before I traded it in.

Ultra-Shift Light - digital tachometer with shift light and peak RPM recall. No plug-in pills or modules needed - program via two buttons on rear of unit. Up to 13,000 RPM, works on most 1-12 cylinder vehicles. Three wire hook-up: power, ground & tach signal. Recall & clear peak RPM as well as adjust LED brightness using the buttons on the rear of unit.

where did u mount it?

I had it right at the bottom of the pillar, mounted with some velcro, it was out of the way but still not too far out of my vision
