My spiral cable/wire is evidently broken or on it's way out. Is there a fuse I can pull to the turn off the airbag light/system so i can pass my expired safety inspection? I can't pass the safety check with that light illuminated, so I need a quick fix until I replace the spiral cable/wire assy(which will be soon).

From what I understand it's the wire between the steering column and the steering wheel. It allows things like the airbag, cruise and also the horn to work while the wheel turns.

I've removed the center of the dash around the stereo a handful of times, and also dug around under the steering coloum and removed that metal plate. How much more do I have to remove to get into the gauge cluster? Many Mahalos :xbeer3:

you have to remove the long dash piece that goes under the steering wheel (has the hood release attached to it) the take out the black bezel that covers the gauges. after that its four screws that holds the gauge cluster in, you should be able to see them easily
