I recently changed my gears. I had 225 tires and 3.53 gears when i was stock. Now i had 4.10 gears and 31 inch tires. Should my speedo be dead on? I think it should be , because this is how a trd is set up from the factory. I may be wrong tho because they may have a different speedometer gear. tia

I have just recently preformed the same transformation on my truck. With the 225/75r15 w/ 3.58 gears i had a 28 tooth gear in my speedo case. Now w/ the 265/70r16 and 4.10 gears I had to change to a 30 tooth gear. Hope that helps you.
Ken
Next time what would help is to make your Signiture on the bottom of your post w/ your year model and data about your truck.

Out here, we have a ton of radar checkpoints, so it is easy to check. :D

I don't know about DEAD ON, but you should be pretty close I would guess...

PM Muddintaco, he should be able to help.

Take your cd player, pop in a cd.

Set the cruise at 60, when the song plays or gets to a minute or 2, reset the odo the time that it does.

At one minute, you should have one mile. At two minutes, you should have two miles...

If you want to do this twice as fast, drive at 120, set the cruise, and repeat.
