I searched and saw that there is a known issue on second gen but mine is a 1998 SR5.

I have a annoying ticking noise only when driving at speed. It literally took forever to isolate it as I thought it was a panel noise and I was pressing on panels etc while driving. Turns out it only happens under following conditions (very weird)-

Driving at freeway speeds
Blower on
Recirc/Exterior select set to exterior. When on recirculate it stops

Is this likely some debris in the blower?
I plan to remove the blower but just checking before I dive in.

Debris in the ducting is the likely suspect. Could also be a gasket seal around the recirc valve. Both should be in the same general fan location behind the glove box.
