I am no genius but, I bought a set of 2" spacers and I think I got 1". I measured the fat part of the spacer that sits on top of the spring and it is only 1" wide. The part that sits inside the coil is 1" as well but that doesnt give any lift. These spacers are like the Cornfed spacers. Seems to me that the portion of the spacer that sits on top of the spring should be at least 2" tall to give me two inches of lift. Things that make you go WTF?

Its a math thing...geometry ;)

draw an open triangle with equal sides, /\ . the wide open side is your wheel, the pointy end is the "hinge" of your front suspension. Make an 'A' out of the triangle by drawing a 'crossbar' at the halfway point. This will be your coil/shock assembly. measure the distance of the cross bar you just drew and then measure the width at the open end.

what do you get? ;)

whatever the 'crossbar' distance is the open end will be 2x that amount. The same principle applys to a spacer lift.
