I've got a girl friend who is looking for a grill guard(not a full bumper) for her '03 tacoma. does anyone know of any companies producing these? thanks in advance for any help.

i told her a full bumper would be better but she is only looking to spend 3-400 bucks for slightly more protection. i think its mostly for looks.

The Manik one is pretty nice. I've got it on my truck now, fits nicely, and its all bolt on. Will be replacing it with a ARB bumper soon as the mounts kill front clearance. But if its for looks and not like serious offroading, should be fine.

Most Grill guards offer no real structural protection-
What "slightly more" protection does she expect?
She has MORE of a chance to inflict damage to her truck if the Brush grill guard is involved in a fender bender- It will likely fold into the hood in an accident

I have one on right now and wish i would have taken the money to buy a bent-up or demello or something like that but for a mainly street rig who is looking for a "beefier" image, a brushguard would do fine. Some companies that make them are Westin, Manik, Smittybilt. Anyways I bought mine on ebay and ended up getting it for 180 shipped but i'd recomend the 1 piece as opposed to the 3 piece and dont get a crappy brand.

I've got one on a 99 that needs a new home, but I'm not sure if it will wrap around the 03 bumper. if you can figure out if it will work, let me know.

i wouldn't mind selling mine either. And it will go on an 03 and thats the same bodystyle as my 02. Not sure how much i want for it right now, but it is the modular (the headlight guards come off) and is in pretty good shape. And completely bolt on which is nice, and also fits the bodylines well.

I do have some pics that I could email. PM your email address and I will send a few to you. It is a Manik. Black, and modular (which is nice incase you had to replace anything on the corner lights, etc). Where are you?
