this afternoon i customized my grille the cheap way and documented the process with photos and a write up which can be found here po'boy grille mod

much thanks to OppositeBoy for showing me this idea. also much thanks the guys at Yotatech for their grille mod write ups which helped me out.

so for anyone who wants a different kind of grille look without spending much cash or cutting up factory pieces this might be of interest to you.

Very nice.

Last night, I bought some gutter guard (like Opposite Boy did) and put it in the space just below my truck's front bumper. But I haven't done behind the grille yet. Your writeup is good and will come in handy.

another nice (but not bling quality) is to put a windows screen behind the grill and place in front of the radiator. It helps to get rid os them bugs and what not. I had one on my old 4runner and loved it while driving cross country.

And here I thought I was a genius when I went to Home Depot, bought gutter screen, and put it in my grill, laughing at all the people who paid $20+ on eBay for the same concept. But here you all were doing the same thing. "Great minds think alike", as they say. BTW, I get comments on my grill all the time. Not bad for eight bucks and a couple of hours...
