So sanding the chassis saver is becoming more and more of a nightmare. Im thinking about just blasting it, reseam sealing it and spraying my bay. Kyle offered up his blaster to use but the issue is the valve on the bottom keeps braking. Its a simple ball type valve that from what i can tell is clogging and braking once you try to turn it off. Im wondering if i can find another type of valve for it so it wont F up if i make an attempt at blasting the rest of this paint off. also what type of media have you guys had good luck with? It has walnut shells in it right now and im going to be going through 40mill of the spectrum on the wheel wells and a coat of paint.

the blaster he has

try a gate valve??? or a stop and waste style that uses a rubber washer as the cutoff so even if sand gets stuck in it.... it will still work??

Yeah, all blasters are an exercise in controlled self-destruction. My guess is they're using a regular off-the-shelf (intended for water or something) valve, and you need one for a blaster.

Unfortunately, not sure where you would go for that ... maybe McMaster-Carr?
