Okay I have a 2001 Toyota Tacoma 4 door 4 wheel drive and When I hit a bump, pot hole, drive off a curve, or go from a paved road to dirtroad the top ball joint and spindle hits my strut on both the driver and passenger side and feels like theres no suspension and sounds horrible, but when I'm driving on a good paved road its fine so it only happens when the struts compress/decompress.and All im running as far as lift goes is the rancho quik lift loaded struts with the 9 different settings by twisting the knob. Can some one help me here and tell me whats causing this and how can I fix it. I figured the top ball joints needed replacing but what do yall think

Sounds like your suspension is over extending. Stock coils and suspension don't travel that far to allow contact. So possibly the Rancho shocks are allowing the longer travel.

Are your upper ball joints(UBJs) leaking grease? I have a 2002 Tacoma 4X4 165k miles with Bilstein shocks, and my left UBJ is leaking grease and makes noises when I hit bumps, humps, and creaks, so I know its time to replace it. When I push on the front left side, I can hear the UBJ's creaking while the right side is quiet. Check your UBJ's: LBJs, and tie rods. Push down on the right and left front end of your Tacoma and see if you hear the same noises. You will have to take the front tires off to do a proper inspection of your front suspension and make sure everything is torqued to specs.
