Wanting to drop a Chevy V6 or V8, or Ford. But all the adapters to my 4cyl gear drive 21 spline case require me to pull the transmission apart to install a new shaft.
But someone told me there is a chevy trans that does not require that. This way I can just install the adapter and Tcase. I just dont want the expense of tearing apart a trans.
Advance adapters says the 350 4x4 trans is the one. I just want to be 100% and I tried emailing AA but did not hear back.

Since I dont already have the donor stuff I want to know what I should be looking for. Thanks. I tried finding complete donor toyota stuff but none around here in my price range. 1000... I got 85 4runner.

Well AA sent me a answer.
Just in case someone else needed this info also
Only the GM TH350 4wd transmission qualifies as a true bolt-up when using our adapter to the Toyota transfer case. The main shaft would not have to be changed.
