I replaced the broken AC line that goes through the firewall on my 1996, and want to evacuate the system before I recharge. Any help on how to do this would be appreciated.
I have a manifold, the hoses and a vacuum pump, I am just not sure how to do it. for example, how long to you keep it under a vacuum, and do you just evacuate the low side, just the the hi side, or both.

Thanks

Open up both sides, pull for atleast 30 minutes, look to get around 28-30.

Close in valves turn off pump, and monitor for fast leak.

Should be good to charge.

Do you know how to charge?

Definitely a good idea to evacuate, be sure to hold for atleast 30 minutes anything less will be a waste of time.

Yea, I found lots of detailed info on how to recharge the system.
Just none on how to evacuate. Every article said to "evacuate the system" then do this, this, and this to recharge.....

Thanks for the help everyone! TTORA is awesome! :D
