Can anyone tell me where exactly to find the hi beam wires and what it looks like. I just don't know what color it is. Apparently I rode the short bus to school and I just can't find them. If someone has a picture of how they wired up their auxilary lights that would be greatly apprectiated.

I spliced a set of my offroad lights into my highbeams using a relay. Spliced in right behind the headlight just to make it easier to trace the wires. Using a light tester check all the wires individually. If I remember correctly (It has been a while) there are three wires going to the headlight. Check which one has power only when the highbeams are on. Splice your relay power wire into that one.

there arent any as far as i know cuz the bulbs are dual filamint..

in other cars theyre a wire cuz its 2 bulbs..but we tacos have 1 bulb to do both
Im pretty sure that your(at least the way im understanding what your saying) wrong, yes our headlights are dual filament, one for high and one for low beam so we have 3 wires leading to them:
1. 12v for the low beam
2. 12v for the high beam
3. A common ground shared by the two

So do just what dstrbdone said about splicing the wires just behind the headlight by the plug. http://www.tacomaterritory.com/forum/showthread.php?t=551&highlight=wiring

I did somereading and one guy said its one hot wire and then the grounds are switched, either way its almost the same
