I'm not sure if they reserved the camp area or not, but everyone is welcome! I may bring the land yacht if I can find a person to help drive it and the truck down. If I do, I will have some beds open.Mike said:Peter, I assume the camping area was reserved by Santa Rosa 4x4 Club? Will random TTORA people be welcome to camp there?

Are you going to make it out?Mike said:Just wondering since everyone is getting spring fever. I have a feeling that this will be a huge run. At least on Saturday.

This is what we know for sure:Mike said:Hi Peter. I'll be there on Saturday.
I think meeting at the school house at 10AM works pretty well for most people.
Let me know what your plans are and I'll mail bomb the chapter.

Are you going to stay the night or eat on Sat afternoon? If you are going to eat, how many hamburgers / hotdogs do you want?white_eskimo said:yup, i will definetly be there sat at 10am as well. guess that means i gotta get up extra earlyi am 30 min south of san francisco...
Just need to know if you are eating!TACORICAN said:Also, Let me know if you need anything.
Thats cool, just let me know. Also let me know if you are going to eat Sat night!white_eskimo said:let me get back to you on that as i am 17 and i dont know what the parents will say about camping at hollister which is a couple hours away without any friends
i might just go up friday night and camp with you guys and wheel in the morning, since it would save me from waking up early and driving. or i could just not do the speed limit![]()
I think that they "close the gates" at sundown, but one of us can come down and let you in if that is how it has to be. Will you be able to get there before then?TACORICAN said:How late can they let us in on Friday? I would like to go both days too. BTW pete me and my girl will be eating too.
I was told that the off-road area was open the entire weekend when I called. The www.hollisterhills.com link says that the entire weekend that area 5 is closed, which is the group area, for a "Power Wagon Ralley". COOL!! The old Dodge Power Wagons are awesome!Mike said:Not sure about 'Area 5', but it's the 'upper ranch' closures that we need to worry about.

That is a picture that will live in infamy! Dont worry, Mark had a silly picture of his own to worry about. It was just a little hill, but he did the wrong thing.buchshot1 said:You just had to show that pic didn't you. You forgot to add the sammy's whinch was dragging him in from that angle. I would go but I would have to say to hell with brakes and a front drive shaft to make that run![]()
I'm going to try to be ready for a run by the end of may. need to do a little bit of :welder: and :saw:
3-4 of us from up north are going down friday late morning. If anyone gets there and the ranger station is closed and you cant pay and get a gate code call on channel 31 or my cell and I will get you in for the night. You will have to go in the morning and pay!hawaiianbro said:Anybody heading down Friday? I'll be down there around 5-6pm.
So far I know that 4 trucks are going to be there Friday for sure from up here. This is about normal. Some people rsvp, others will just show up etc. No big deal. If no one else shows up, we will have plenty of fun with just us!TACORICAN said:So only 3-4 Heads are going there Friday?
Sounds about right. I know how to get there, but dont know all the names of the roads off hand! Check the Hollister Hills web site for details. I'm on the road!hawaiianbro said:Hollister Hills is off of Cienaga Road right? You turn left on Bloomfield from Highway 25, and turn right on Benito Street, and then a right on Union?
Just want to make sure I have the right directions......1st timer to Hollister.
