Uh, I'd say something is still wrong. I had ABS issues, and as soon as they were corrected the light went away- without reseting anything.GoodyearMTR said:Does anyone know how to do this on a 98 Tacoma, I just replaced faulty ABS pump and now I need to reset light.
alldata says to connect terminals Tc and E1 on the dlc1(data link connector 1 which should be under the hood) and then remove the short pin from dlc1. Then turn on the key and pump the brake pedal 8 or more times within 5 seconds. Remove jumper wire from Tc and E1 and put the short pin back into dlc1. Codes should be cleared.GoodyearMTR said:Does anyone know how to do this on a 98 Tacoma, I just replaced faulty ABS pump and now I need to reset light.
I believe the ABS is disabled when the TRD Locker is engaged...not 4lo.sagexp said:My light is on all the time, but then again I ripped out the fuse a few months ago after tiring of the ABS going off while in 4hi and on snow packed dirt roads. That gets old in a hurry.
I intend to replace the fuse (I broke it to get it out unfortunately), and install a switch under the hood to disable it when I want.
I thought ABS was supposed to go off in 4lo, but mine doesn't even do that.
