For those with IFS still and airlocked front and rear, how much did you pay? I have 4.30's and don't plan on regearing because I won't run anything over 32's. I am very mechanically inclined, but I have never fooled with any installation like this. Could I do it myself because I am not regearing?

I believe it involved drilling through the diff housing to accomidate the air line. From what I read about them, the install is key to a lasting life of the locker. If you haven't done it, I would just shell out the cash for it- to a place that has done before, might I add.

Since you are not messing with the pinon, you could do it yourself. You just have to set the backlash. Taking a part the diff is a PITA. It's about 700 to 750 for the arb locker.

ARB will only honour the warranty if it is properly installed by one of their dealers. 99% of issues with the lockers are due to poor installation so I'd cough up and pay a shop. If you take out the third and take it to them you can save some cash. If you need a compressor let me know, I have an ARB that's about 10 months old I want to get rid of. ....Steve

It will be awhile before I do this, but thank you anyway. I'm just trying to gage money and time.

I bought my first ARB air locker used from another member years ago
I got the whole kit, with air compressor for a great price.
I later bought a complete front diff with 5:29's gears and an ARB air locker
Another good deal
I think I paid $1200 just for the used parts. I paid $400 for new rear 5:29's and master Install kit+400 for labor=$2000 total for NEW GEARS AND 2 ARB lockers

the ARB locker is a full-case differential that requires setting up the gears on install. Do NOT try this unless you have several successful installs under your belt.
Lockrites can be done by most anyone.

I paid $700 labor on the last regear including front ARB install. Locker was $600 and gears/install kits were about the same. prices have gone up substancially, however.
