How to determine Offset?

Hey guys.

I have a (basically) stock 2004 4x4 DCab. I want to bring the wheels out even with, or slightly outside, the fenders. That's roughly 2". I have no idea if the stock (TRD package) wheels are already offset or by how much. Can someone tell me the offset starting point for the stock TRD package wheels?

Thanks.

They should be 16x7" with a +15mm offset, which is about 4.59" of backspacing. An 8" rim with the same backspacing would stick out one inch farther. An 8" rim with an inch less backspacing (3.5") would stick out two inches farther.

So if I understand your question correctly, you want an 8" wide rim with 3.5" of backspacing.
