So, I might be checking out a used 1996 V6 tacoma at a used car stealership where they don't know whether the timing belt was ever changed (truck has around 150k miles). Is there anything I or anyone else (as in professional-type mechanics) could look for in order to tell if the factory original is still on, or can is the best I can hope for is to assess general wear? And would this take any major disassembly?

Thanks for any advice!

there should be a sticker.

If you want to be sure, remove the bolts holding the cover, slip it back and look at the belt. Shouldn't have any cracks at all.
