I was talking about the stock tacoma steering rack.. Your truck could use the Howe steering assist ram. We installed a howe system on a 4runner, and a AGR system on a truck. The howe was much nicer.. Both systems used a GM pump, we just made new brackets. With a 3.4, space is limited to where the pump could go. The GM pump is a little bigger. i don't know if the Toy pump would/could work with the ram?? Give Howe a call, Jeff is a real nice guy, he always has time for the average guy..

I talked to that guy one time. He was a real ass hole so I wouldn't buy anything from him. Their attitude says alot about the level of service you could expect to get should something go bad later on. I suggest you take a look at PSC or some of the other options. Just don't get a cylinder from WTOR, they leak like crazy. I've heard that AGR is starting to ship leakers now too.

He sure was an ass the one time I called him. Maybe someone had just pissed in his cheerios or something just before I called.
Everyone has bad days.. Jeff Howe has always been more than helpfull for us. I know since they came out with their ram stuff for crawlers their business has over doubled, before that, they did mainly high end race stuff. Maybe you caught him at a high stress level day?? Howe still gets my vote.. We've had the same problems a few time over with the AGR system, and not a single problem with the Howe.. I guess when your back ground is steering Trophy trucks, your quality stays higher??? my .02

that kit comes with a howe pump that i would think is for the older toys? it's a complete system not just a ram,aj at bent up said he has it on his taco, and is very satisfied, whats your thoughts on that dick? you seen his rig? what are you currently running?i know you've been through a few systems now, i meet you this fall in moab with the colorado guys,i would think this is better than getting a rebuilt toy gear box, chevy pump, have someone tap it and then geta ram set up,thats my other option, but for a grand this seems like the way to go,i've also heard bad things about,******* ram, and agr,not going there for sure

Well I haven't been though any other systems really just a change with the cylinder as all the ones I got from WTOR leaked. I just got feedup with the BS and slapped the AGR cylinder that I already had on there. Problem solved. I am running the stock Taco PS pump along with a WTOR rebuilt, drilled and tapped Toy IFS steering box. I haven't steered AJ's truck so I have no idea what his is like. I don't even know the makeup of his system. I do know that either Chuck or AJ ran into the same WTOR leaky cylinder issue somewhere along the line.

cool,it seems people don't know much about this system,it's been around a while,i'm gonna get one as soon as i have the $,and i'll post the results of getting it set up etc...
If you can find a steering box from a 92-95 4runner, Howe can tap into it for the lines, the earlier truck and runner boxes won't work. something about the check valve being in the nose cone on the input off of the steering. The older ones have the check valve inside the body of the box.
