I might need to be replacing one of my Aisin hubs on my truck and first am wondering how much i'm looking at $$$ wise. Second why do people advocate Aisin's so much, i am not by any means abusive on my truck and have no reason for why my hubs would be going out.
Anyways though, what is the best and why, warn, aisin, etc.?

Aisin Hubs are simply stronger than the Warn Hubs.

I have no clue on the price. Check the local junkyards.

Do a search on yahoo about aisin hubs and you'll find they are good huds. One advantage is their low profile. Another is most of the internals are made of steel. Keep the aisins, just go to the local yard and pull them off a totaled truck. Don't let the yard know you need them though (make up something as to why you need them)...when they know you need the part...the price goes up.
