Hi everyone. I'm a newby and need some help. I own a 2001 Tacoma 4X4, 3.4L 5 speed. I've looked everywhere for gauges to replace the oil pressure idiot light and water temp. gauge but can't find anyone that will install them. I can buy gauges all day long, but it seems no one, not even my Toyota dealer can guarantee the gauges and sending units will comply with the on-board computer or thread into existing holes. Has anyone installed/had installed aftermarket oil pressure and water temp. gauges? If so, perhaps you can recommend someone in the Albuquerque area that I might contact. Thanks.

Well, you can expect some adaptation will be required on threading senders into OEM Taco holes. The Taco oil sender hole, for example, is 1/8" BSPT rather than the more common 1/8" NPT most of the gauge manufacturers design for.
