in a recent thread on doin a 4x4 conversion i read this

all you need is:
transmission and transfer case out of a 4x4(comes with shifters)
transmission mount from a 4x4
front differential
front driveshaft
cv axels(pair)
4wd spindles(pair)
4wd rear driveshaft(or get your prerunner one shortened)
4wd solenoids(if using the vac style front diff) and vac canister
is that all i will be needin? or is there some stuff that is not listed on there?

hey sport, just so you know, I've got an extra front diff I'll sell you for durrty cheap. Its gonna be geared w/ 3.58's so you'd need to regear it, but hey, at least you know it won't be crap ;)

Link at the botton of my sig has a complete list. I completed my conversion in early Feburary.

You are also going to need the floor shifter plate with boot unless you want to attempt to cut yours open and buy the boot.
You will also need the interior plastics to go around the shifter console.

hey man sorry I missed your IM earlier, I was at work when I replied to this thread. The diff I've got is from a 95.5(I think) w/ ADD, but you can fix that to manual hubs if you want. Anyways, you can have mine as soon as I get it out for like $50 plus shipping.

How about a 4x4 ecu to match the tranny. Not sure though somebody can confirm.
No difference between 4x4 and PreRunner ECU's (both motor and transmission).

If you do some good reseach and do alot of the work yourself, you would be surprized that a Sas is not that much more than your current overhaul...

about 3 G's
I still have to get a front D shaft and front gears though
So by the time Im done I will be at the 4 g's mark...

If I didnt rush into my sas and did a little better planning I would have been around 3000 total for everything...
