This was an expensive ($251.36 in parts) but easy job.
Truck runs much better now. I couldn't believe how gummed up the old IAC was. A can of fuel injector cleaner and a rag did a great job of removing the gunk from inside the throttle body.
And a minor adjustment of the idle screw (I tinkered with it previously) to get the warm engine idle rpms to around 750 and viola', life is good again.
(I think Chester was homesick for Moab)
