Just installed new pads 2 days ago. Just used the TRD pads and yes you re-use the same 2 anti squeel plates. Honestly took less than 20 min to install both sides.
Installed some new Ceramic front brake pads today.
I installed a set of Bosch ceramic front brake pads today on my 01 Dub cab.
What a piece of cake! When you hear people say that the hardest thing is jacking up the truck & taking the wheel off...they're right.
For anyone needing new pads I highly recommend going with the Ceramic style. Usually you need a few hundred miles to bed pads in before they start "biting", but even on my first test drive it was immediately noticable. The brakes feel much stronger than before.
For anyone who installs bigger than stock tires they are a must.
I give the Bosch Ceramic pads two thumbs up.
