I installed a set of Bosch ceramic front brake pads today on my 01 Dub cab.

What a piece of cake! When you hear people say that the hardest thing is jacking up the truck & taking the wheel off...they're right.

For anyone needing new pads I highly recommend going with the Ceramic style. Usually you need a few hundred miles to bed pads in before they start "biting", but even on my first test drive it was immediately noticable. The brakes feel much stronger than before.
For anyone who installs bigger than stock tires they are a must.

I give the Bosch Ceramic pads two thumbs up.

I bought the pads from Murrays Discount auto, after discovering that Autozone no longer carried the pads that were recommended here.
I paid $55.00 for them.
They come with new stainless steel backers, so you don't have to reuse the old ones.
Before you upgrade your rotors for more stopping power, I would give the different pads a try, there is a night and day difference from the stock pads.

They also have a lifetime warranty...when they wear out, just bring them in & they will replace them for free.

Definately worth every penny, Bosch makes some good stuff.
