This saturday i will be installing a complete front diff, and a manual hub setup complete from a taco that came with manual hubs stock. i have a 97 4x4... just wanting to know if there are any tips from guys who have already done this, or if i will need any other parts, hubs are complete and cv axle's should just slide into diff.. if anyone has any advice or tips for me please let me know..

1) Why are you installing a new front diff? You can keep your existing ADD Diff
2) You basically will transplant the donor vehicles complete spindle & hubs as well as the manulal hub cv shafts

I think its because of gearing. cheaper to change diff then regear-isn't it??
Original Poster made no reference to regearing-
Based on his post - I inferred he was just asking about manual hub swap-

As far as Cost comparison- It depends on the purchase price of the diff.
More labor is involved for a front diff regear than a straight diff swap.
