Recently I diagnosed a parasitic draw from my dome light circuit on my taco. Ive been getting ready to chase it down. Something I have noticed is I have empty electrical connectors everywhere.

Can I install parts that my Truck never had? Map lights for example, it seems i have wiring for them under my head liner. glove box light as well, I think I have a connector for that as well? If i recall correctly there might even be connectors for floor lighting.

Whats the scoop on this, Mine is an SR5 its very basic, crank windows manual locks just the dome light. Is there a truck I can get map lights from? Id be interested in the glove box light and footwell lighting as well. I could always just wire these up myself but I love the idea of filling those connectors.

anybody have :2cents:

My 01 SR5 has map lights, dome lights, but no floor or glove box light.

I'd assume you could therefore do the map lights if you find a pick n pull set. I didn't know the first gens had floor lights, I've never noticed the connectors but if they're there it's just a matter of trim.
