Hi all,

I'm installing my ARB Bumper soon and would like to put some lights on at the same time. Problem is that I can't decide on lights - through all these years I never bought any new until now.

What is important to me is a wide light area versus distance. Most of the trails that I am on are tight and twisted and the speeds are usually low at night (too many close calls with Moose and Deer last year!). I also want a light that will not rust, will look good for many years and is decently bright.

So... I am looking at the IPF 968CS (made by ARB):

Or the PIAA 520 series in fog:

The PIAA's are essentially *double* the price of the IPF's. But they just look darn nice. There must be something else that makes them so expensive?

Also, any pics of round lights mounted on an ARB bumper would be appreciated. Love to see different styles and opinions.

Thoughts?

It will all depend on the model but dollar for dollar they are very similar, I have PIAA "520's $200" "PIAA 580's $300" as well as "IPF J01c $350" and some Hella lights too. You wont be dissapointed with either my IPF lights are dual beam my 580's are so bright and very nice and the 520's are the most popular light on the market! You need to pic #1 size #2 style "round, square" #3 beam pattern #4 price .... and not exactly in that order. But good luck to you I love all my lights but would be more likely to trust my PIAA's and IPF's nore so than my Hella's

Fog lights

I had a set of PIAA 520's on my old rig, and just bought a new set for my new 04 TRD Xcab. I love'um. They have a nice wide beam spread. I live in Washington State and we really get some heavy/dense fog. The PIAA 520's cut right through the dense fog. Call around for pricing. I found both sets on ebay, (brand new still in box) in the $155 range. Shop around, and check on-line. :D
