I'm looking to lift my 04 double cab about 4 inches. Its still my daily driver, but I like to play pretty hard on the weekends. What brand works the best. Should i go 2" suspension, 2" bl, 3" sus./1" body, or all sus.

I have an aal in the rear. You can get coilovers from several different places. www.demello-offroad.com , www.wheelersoffroad.com They are going to be pricey but well worth it.Peanut Butter said:what about the rear end? where can i get the coilovers, how much?
Brian do you rub a lot with those 33" tires? because i getting only a 1" RB BL and people have been saying i will rub like crazy...and they are like you should get at least 2"...tacoma_trd1999 said:I'm running four inches 3 inch suspension and 1 inch bl.
If I were you, I would buy a coilover and set it at three inches and then get a RB 1 inch BL. That would be more economical than buying something like a procomp 4 inch lift and you could install everything yourself.

I only rub on certain situations and its never that bad. I dont rub on road at all. I dont like BLs but I figured a 1 inch would be ok. I also beat the fender wells flat at the pinch weld so that helped alot too.04RedLobster said:Brian do you rub a lot with those 33" tires? because i getting only a 1" RB BL and people have been saying i will rub like crazy...and they are like you should get at least 2"...
If your rims are 15x8 you wont rub that much with 3 suspension and 1 body. Do the pinch weld mod on top of all that and you will be good.04RedLobster said:wow..i'm really confused...i'm getting mixed comments about rubbing with 33"... like on this other tread they said you'll rub like crazy...and stuff like that...so i don't know what to do...
planing on get dunlop mud rovers 33x12.5x15 on 87 rockcrawlers 3.75 b/s
Every truck is different. Even given the same suspension setup, rims, tires, and vehicle specs (year, body style, engine, etc.), some people will experience rubbing issues, while others won't. I know that doesn't provide much comfort, but as long as you go with an adequate amount of lift (4-6"), you'll more than likely be able to minimize or eliminate whatever rubbing you may experience afterward by doing other things like pounding your pinch weld, etc.04RedLobster said:wow..i'm really confused...i'm getting mixed comments about rubbing with 33"... like on this other tread they said you'll rub like crazy...and stuff like that...so i don't know what to do...planing on get dunlop mud rovers 33x12.5x15 on 87 rockcrawlers 3.75 b/s
