I have a 05' Toyota Tacoma. I have a set of H4 PIAA uper Plasma Gt lights. I tried to put them in my new truck and they would not work. When I put my stock ones back in they worked. Any ideas why the new lights won't work?

An h-4 bulb should be a direct swap. And most piaa's are the same wattage as stock, so there isn't an issue with heat. But I wouldn't be completely shocked if toyota is using a bulb that looks like an h4 but isn't. I sell BMW parts for a living, and the last 4-5 years has been interesting. Lots of bulbs that look just like a 9006 or h-7 or something but they aren't. They even plug in sometimes, but don't always work. I hope this isn't the case, as I just bought an 05 tacoma last night and was hoping to put in some piaa extreme whites fairly soon.
