I need about 12" lift for the rear on a 96 tacoma. I already have a 3" bodylift. I want approximately 9 - 12 more inches. How many options do I have with springs. I have seen alot of 63" chevy springs out there. Whats up with those. Are there any other springs recommended for that amount of lift? The way I understand, you can use almost any spring. I know it sounds crazy.

Try vodka, or tequila. Then post. It will be REALLY interesting if chocolate milk makes you want 9-12" of lift!!!

I once saw an older Toyota w/ 12" front and 6" rear  . I think it was an SAS'ed pre-Tacoma. It was really funny looking. the guy said he didn't have the new rear springs yet.

I think you have to look at a set on custom built springs. Alcan and Deaver are the most mentioned on TTORA. I have no experience with them, so I can't make recomendations.

Please consider front and rear anti-swaybars. You can make them dis-connectable, but with the much height you might have very serious manuvering/turning issues. Also, if you are IFS, your CV angles will be very steep, leading to premature failure and breakage.
