I've been all about the free mods lately...

I've heard mention of some people hacking off the rear half of the overload leaf to improve flex. I definitely don't want to remove the whole thing. Is there a balance between a little extra flex, and not increasing the axle wrap when doing this?

I guy I wheel with has done that.. Persionally, It looks like it creates a weak spot in the leaf above it... When you compress it that is, it looks like an "s". Maybe if you left 3" or so after the perch?

the springs are gonna fail anyway,thats just the way it is.so modding the stockers for more flex isnt gonna make much difference in how long they last.
