What mods have you done so far? I have instaled my rechargable streamlight. Mud on tires mod. I am trying to figre out where the darn relay for the poweroutlets are. I am wondering if I should even try the deck plate mod but the air box is such a small wierd shape and the tube seem suficient for air flow, and the fact that the only place I can see one fitting is toward the back of the engine compartment and it will be getting warm air. I want to figure out how to take the center console apart and dash for some reason(fetish maybe). I also have a three inch lift comming for it. :D

The first mod I'd do, aside from lift, new tires, etc... would be to relocate the rear shocks inboard of the frame rails. Then I'd remove the front bumper and improve that approach angle, it's terrible!
I cant wait to get over the "no drilling, cutting, or braking! It is new" rule. I think that lasted about one week with my old truck.
I just got my 3" lift for mine. After the lift, I will be installing the 265/75/16 MT/R's I just got mounted on my Ivan rims.

Who knows where I will go from there...

I may also install a real inverter, the outlet in the bed hardly lights a lightbulb.

Need to do exhaust also.

If you want to take out the center console, grab the cup holder and pull straight up. Give it a good yank. Underneath that there is two screws joining the front and rear halves of the console and the only two mounting screws for the front half. The other mounting screws for the rear half of the console are underneath the carpet covered cardboard inside the console. It is just sitting in there so you can grab the fibers and pull it up. Underneath the rear of the console is the 110V inverter. The airbag computer(I think) is ahead of the gear shift.

Comes apart and goes together easy.

Thanks. I have the automatic and the light for the gear indicator. Do I need to be woried about yankin wires out?
Probably, Just be careful.

I have the 6 spd, so there's nothing like that on mine.

How do you like the v6/6 speed combo?
It's Awesome! Smooth and consistent.

Who's making the three inch lift for the new taco? Is it just spacers? Also I'm sure everyone will be asking whats the biggest tire you can fit without a lift so I'll be the first.

Donahoe's kit should be out before the end of the year.

i took our 05 out to the desert on sun. It did great off road!!!

its running 305/70R17 (34") on 17x8 W/4.75" back space. we custom machined the wheels to make them fit as tight as posible.

when you get it crossed up off road the 305 is a little to large. we were runing those tires for the SEMA show but will go back down to a 285. these new trucks are very wheel size and backspace sensitive, if you have to much offset you get into big rubbing issues

there are some pictures of it here:

the coil overs for these trucks will be ready to ship after christmas

cool,

it kinda drove us all nuts when they ran that tag for the build 'coming up next week' and then they started the reruns.

What lift did you go with?
Speaking of mods to '05, anyone bash that low hanging exhaust (where it crosses over, behind the transfer case) yet??

after seeing that on the pre-production truck at Takeover I still can't believe Toyota didn't fix that. sheesh.
I took it semi apart yesterday. No wires on the auto to be concerned about. There is a lot of stuff under there. cables and such. I cant seem to get the little tray out where the hand ebrake is on old and other 05 tacos.
Dylan: Does Donahoe have any plans for the rear suspension?
