I built a rear bumper for my buddy Jarrod and man is he lucky. The more you use your rig, you might get an idea here or there on how it could be better. He happens to be the lucky recipient of a few good ideas and improvements.

Better welds.

Rear tire not in the way.

Better latch placement. Directly over keepers.

Wider swing with 45'd hinges.











My first front bumper build... so far so good

Me re-cutting the cable hole a big taller with my grinder, won't see that little mess with the roller fairlead.

Good stuff, looks great and functional.

My only addition is I'd be worried about the torsion about that square tube the winch is mounted to on a hard pull---but only on that small section between the outer most bolt and the inside of the frame rail. WHat thickness is that square tube, 0.125 or 0.1875"…? A short 90°@2-2.5" cutout of that square tube welded in the inside corner on each side would increase the strength a lot.
