I am just trying to compile a pile of spare parts to bring out on a trail. With 35's (soon to have 4.88's and front LSD) I am wondering what will be most likely to break. Most of my wheeling is hard dirt (Hillclimbs and stuff) and rocks. I have 1 spare CV (anyone have an ADD CV to sell, let me know). I was wondering what else can go (I know anything can). For example, I was thiking of picking up a spare u-joint or two. Are the front and rear the same? How about our driveshafts, do they generally hold up? I keep a full supply of fluids, greases, tools, etc.... not looking for that. Really what ought I bring to ensure I can get home!

A spare u-joint wouldn't hurt, I doubt you'll ever break one though, unless you like getting rammy and torquey...or see a nice boulder field to explore. So one of those, two if you have room. You've got your CV's covered, but consider two, and not one, that's THE part you're most likely to break. I doubt you'll break a drive shaft, but hey, if you've got room...right?

Add:

-spare rear axle shaft
-spindle
-upper ball joint, and the appropriate tools

EDIT: Don't forget, the Tacoma you're wheeling with probably doesn't have any spares.
