I have 805 miles on my 07 DC SB, TRD Offroad 5spd. Most of them are fwy. The first tank was about 19.2, the second about 19.8. Thats hwy driving in the NW, so 65-75 and mountainous. Pretty darn good for a brand spankin new motor, I expect it to go up. Thats also with a 1.75" lift which increases the front cross section. That was also on 87 octane. I plan to run 87 all the time, and 89 when towing. 91 when towing above 5K feet.

Man this thing drives awesome. The power is amazing. It only downshifted a handful of times in my 600 mile road trip this weekend. When that torque converter unlocks in 5th and you get 2300-2500 rpms there isnt much it wont climb in OD. But when it does downshift it holds that gear until the top of the hill.. me likey....

I have a SGII installed in the truck and the mileage it puts out is dead accurate. Really cool. The gauge is pretty accurate too. When the needle in on the bottom of the half mark the tank is actually half empty. There are about 3 gallons left in mine when the light comes on.

As for the shift point chart that was posted, who can actually stand shifting under 2g's? Its gotta be annoying shifting 6 times and only be going 40 mph.
That alone would lead to lower mpg's. My auto usually shifts around 2K. I have gotten between 17.8 and 19.8 in the trucks first 1500 miles. The 17.8 was 75mph with a couple large hills and a pass. 70 seems to be much more economical at 19.2.
