Ok. Sorry for any typos, etc. its been a long night. I bought some 5.29 gears and yukon master install kit for my non-trd tacoma rear. They got here and everything was peachy. Last night I take the rig to the guy who helps me with all of my gears and everything is going good until we realize there are no carrier shims or pinion shim in the master kit? wtf? Is this standard procedure or what? What are you guys doing that have regeared tacoma rear diffs? As of now im vehicle-less since the taco is my dd and i need to do something fast!
Thanks
Josh

I bought two master install kits for my gear install and the shop didn't report being short on parts.

Every master kit I've seen has an assortment of shims. Not saying that it will have the right shims, but it certainly comes with them.

Ive looked around at some other stuff and now im seeing that some peoples master installs dont come with all of the shims...........now is a time to find out.

Maybe you got a bad kit. Here's a little advice while you're in there though and if you have the time. Get rid of that fucking crush collar and replace it with a solid spacer. Marlin among others sell them.

The carrier shims are thick washers...dealer only.
The pinion bearing shim is also a thick washer and is hiding behind the inner race. It's a dealer item but some of the Dana 44 and 60 shims will work there also.

here's the carrier shim part numbers

You've got that right. My left handed monkey wrench (only works when I use with my right hand?), chinese socket set, cresent hammer, 24" water pump pliers, mexican speed wrench, duct tape, bailing wire and bubble gum seam inferier now?

PS: No disrespect to anyones heritage
