A few days ago I drove through a water crossing that was deeper then it normally is, 2- 2.5 feet instead of 1 foot.
Ever since going threw the water this problem came up.
When I step on the brake pedal my front parking lights come on.When my door is open the buzzer for leaving your headlights on comes on also.
The dash lights also dimmly come on with a push of the brake pedal.
This happens wth the key off or the motor running. I checked the Hanes manual that I have and did not find any answers.
My Tacoma is a 98 Regular cab 2.7L 5spd without power windows.
If anybody has had a simular problem and has a solution please let me know. Thanks in advance.

There is probably water in your brake lights. This water could work like a jumper at the bulb's socket, connecting your brake circuit to your marker light circuit.

Take the bulbs out and clean and dry the sockets good.
