Mods: Please delete

Just found out today that my steering rack is worn out.
This is for my 96 4x4 with 3.4L and manual transmission (don`t know if it makes a difference) Does anyone know if the later models will interchange?

Edit: After further investigation I have found out that the inner tie rod end is bad. I was told by stealership that it wasn`t replaceable.

It can be replaced...But be sure it's not the rack..I have put two in my 97'..

I can get you a set of NEW Inner/outer tie rods, too, if needed
rack is from a 95-97 4cyl

If you need one I know a guy that has one from a 96 4Runner, looks in good shape to me.

I just got both inner tie rod ends for mine from Advance Auto for $55 each. And if you need one, I have a spare rack too and travel to Charlotte frequently...

can be replaced, it took us longer t opull the rack then swap the tierod
