T100 Coilover/axle setup advice needed

Hey guys, I need some advice on my future coilover setup.
Here is what I am planning:
40” MTR’s
14” coilovers with radius arms
Dual cases
Dana 60’s

Here are my dilemmas:

1) I can use a low pinion pass side 60 from a chevy in the front and turn the knuckles and get two gear driven cases and I’m done.
2) I can get a HP drivers side 60 and maybe not have to turn my knuckles at all with the dual cases but I would have to get a tranny and t-case from a Taco and then add another t-case. This to me seems fine but I’m not sure about the strength of the chain driven cases. What do you guys think?

For those running a HP 44 or 60 with dual cases with enough lift for 40's, did you have to turn your knuckles? If not is your pinion pointed right at the t-case or is it still off?

Thnx

mine is leaf sprung, but i have a HP44 up front, the pinion angle isnt the best but its not bad either. I also do not have dual cases, i imagine if i did my pinion would be near perfect. probably not much help but heres a bump for ya.

the t-case is holding up pretty good i guess, however i dont know how much longer it will though. i have a 302/435/205 waiting to go in when i have any problem out of the motor, tranny or x-case. i run the rancho 44044's up front with the short side towards the front, so the axle is moved pretty far forward (never measured)???

i have the 3.4 and dont really like the power i get from it now and dont feel like spending a couple grand on the charger and fuel mods,im fimiliar with the 302, its had a pretty good amount of work done to it so it runs pretty strong, parts are cheap and easy to find.

I'd suggest doing the Chevy 60 and not bothering rotating the knuckles...especially with the dual Tcase you should be fine with the front driveline angles.

I'm currently running a Ford HP Dana 60 and a Chevy 14 bolt rear and quiite frankly I wish I would've researched it more when I swapped out to the 60... I should've built the Dana 70 rear that I have in my shed and done a LP Dana 60 in the front with matching lower gears (maybe 6.17 or something)...the 5.13's that I have as the lowest gear available in the HP Dana 60 just aren't low enough for me with the 4cyl/5spd and the 38's that I'm currently running more less the 42's that I have planned after I redo the truck here over the next month or so.

If you have any question about my setup drop me a line at [email protected] or 304-358-2099

I was starting to think the same way since I want to run 5.38's. So is your pinion pointed right at the t-case output? Mine has to be perfect because I drive this in 4wd on the roads here when it snows and I don't want vibrations. The current setup is perfect for that and I want to keep it that way.
