Back when I was learning to drive, my Grandfather bought me a Beetle. A friend told me hat Neutral was my fifth gear. So, I've been coasting in manuals ever since. This was nice to not use gas all of the time and maintain the speed of the traffic around me. Now, I have the truck that creates legends (made a 8 rated trail here, only suited for buggies..in my Yota) I'm more cautious. Is it okay to coast in neutral, 6th gear? There are plenty of times that I throw it into neural and coast with the mountains surrounding me here in Colorado. Is it the throw out bearing that I'm wearing down? Does it hurt anything? Women freak out when they see me coast in neutral without any skinny pedal behind the tires. I'm cautious/know my road conditions. Am I wearing out anything? Is neutral my 6th gear now (that I'm out of a Bug)?
