I am new here and to Tacomas, I had a '93 Fj-80 6" slee and 37" krawlers. It was extreamly capable, could wheel with built Rubicons all day (wheelbase), but I was terrified of rolling it. I just purchased a 2000 Tacoma TRD extra cab V6. I am looking to model it after the ultimate adventure Tacoma featured in peterson's 4wheel. Enought said I am hoping for some help on gears and axels. I want to run full width axels and 38's.
What gears should I run?
Will the V6 have enough power?
Anybody have a setup like this? Pro's con's?
Need some bomb proff sliders. any suggestions?
Finally, pro's con's to bobbing the bed, planning on running coils in the rear how much should I bob?
Thank you for any help you can give.

Welcome to the board. If you plan on doing that you would prob want to run 5.29's. with those gears and if you run a crawler(Marlin makes the best), you'll prob have enough power. Maybe get the supercharger but I wouldnt IMO. bomb proof sliders = Demello sliders, he'll make whatever you want. That's all the stuff I really know.

If you have any questions please let me know. We do allot of off-Road protection, bumpers, sliders and we have done a couple Solid axle swaps.
