I bought a 1998 4x4 Tacoma last week. It has 32x11.5x15 Remington mud tires, and a 3" body lift. On small bumps at 35+ mph it has like a shimmy. I am wondering if it's because the body lift is allowing the chassis/body to shake excessively? The body lift "pucks" are only about 2" in diameter. Would putting in eurethane body mount bushings help? Or is it just the huge (to me) off road tires?

Here it is...a little dirty ;-)

Thanks,

Aaron

What tire pressure are you running, sometimes if you are running low, the bumps will make the truck sway on the sidewalls of the tires, since they are not as stiff as they should be. OR they could be to high and it just bounces around. Double check your body mount bolts and make sure they are tight as well.

it is probably not the body lift, but a shimmy is hard to define. check your bolts all the way around and make sure they are tight. they have a tendency to get loose on you.
