New K&N Filter on ebay Opinions?

Say this on ebay today, thought about this instead of a deckplate mod. thoughts/opinions?

I will NEVER recommend a K&N filter to anybody. From personal experience I have learned that their filters allow dirt past the filter and into the engine. I replaced mine with an Amsoil filter and I get the same hi-flow performance with no dirt issues. Buy an Amsoil filter instead.
