Welcome to the club. There's a few of us around the Sac area. Keep an eye out for the NorCal runs and if you want, shoot me an e-mail and I'll let you know of any last-minute local trips that come out and you're welcome to join in.

It really depends. I think I've been out to Prairie City once in the 8 years I've had the truck. It's not bad, but definately not very scenic. Best thing to do is watch the board and go out with these guys or hook up with a local club (I run with the Gold Hills Posse out of El Dorado Hills) and learn the limits that way. No-one wants to see a rig hurt, so generally any advice you get on whether you'll be fine or not is good. My next run is going to be out to Iron Mountain Rd on 2/12 for a snow run. Never been out there myself, but sounds fun although possibly a little busy. We went out Wentworth Springs road on Monday for another snow run and it was awesome because I think we saw 4 other rigs all day long!

You knew about it! You told Brad you'd make it if you got back from Pismo in time. :) We made it past Uncle Tom's cabin (but probably about 3/4 mile short of last year's trip) then flipped around. On the way back, we lost an Outer U-joint on the Dodge that was with us, so after removing the front driveshaft and strapping things up with Rubber hose, wire and zip-ties, he made it the last 10 miles out in 2WD. All in all, it was a fun trip. We're doing the Iron Mountain Road Patrol on 2/12 if you're not busy. Brad also has the calendar set for most of the year, so take a look and see what you can join us on.

Oh, THAT trip, LOL

When I got back from Pismo I drove up to AJ and Chuck's new shop. Monday was spent cleaning up the truck. My alignment was way out anyway so I wasn't ready for another trip...o well.
