my cat is bad, and i'm not planning on buying one anytime soon. will this be a bad idea? i am about to buy a new up, and downstream sensor. will no cat cause the downstream to go out faster??

I won't do anything to the sensor as it is really the same as the upstream unit except for wire length but it will trip the CE light for you. I might put you into limp mode too where your truck runs like shit. You can get direct fit cats from Summit for about a $100. Jegs probably has them too.

ok. thanks. i figured they would be more expensive than that. toyota want 5 and 6 hundred bucks for one. i was like wtf??? thanks. jegs or summit, here i come. :D do they have universal cats??

They have units that are a direct fit bolt in deal. You're in AR so will not have any trouble. Only us poor bastids in the PRC have any trouble. We have to drive to NV to get ours. That's because our state bureaucrats out here are taking such good care of us and have our best interest at heart. I do hope you detect the note of sarcasm.

ya know, i thought you were being sensitive there for a second.... NOT.... those smog test and vehicles inspections have to suck. thanks for the input
