I remember the talk about this technology on the Corvettes a couple of years ago. It's pretty neat stuff....until you have a major electrical problem and your ride suddenly becomes stiff as a board, or loose as a porn queen. I wouldn't want these types of shocks on my car until the auto industry can develop a 100% reliable electrical/computer system for vehicles intended to go off the pavement.
The fluid is what is really cool about the shock technology. I can see many many other uses for this type of material.
If I remember correctly Rod Hall was using the same technology in one of the Hummers that ran the 1000. I saw the show re-run on the discovery channel a couple weeks ago. it plays regularly at like 3:00 AM PST. (don't ask me how i know that)
