I recently purchased an 05 Tacoma V6 4wd with the sport package. I am planning to get a skid plate for the fuel tank. Undecided about adding one under the engine. I bought the truck mainly for commuting, hauling my dirt bike to forests, and possibly towing my 3000lb camper. (haven't tried it yet) I used to have a 93 4 cyl pickup that I went on easy 4wd trails or fire roads. I now use the dirtbike for all my off roading. The new composit bed is what sold me on the truck as I would have scratched the bed by now. I've got 3000 miles on it and did the 1K oil change.

Only thing I hate is I called the number in the owners manual to order the shop manuals. I guess there are 3 volumes at $150 each. Are there any alternatives where I can get the torques of my favorite bolts, maintenance procedures, etc.? The truck is so new that there are not any Haynes or Chilton manuals out there. I used to heavily use my 93 manual.
