So I am a rookie, I change my own oil, but thats about it. How difficult/easy is changing the front and rear diff. fluids? I have an 05 Tacoma 4x4. What kind of diff. fluid should I use? It didn't come stock with synthetic did it?
If some one could give me a quick run thru on how its done that'd be great. THanks.

BC, I did mine myself for the first time a few weeks ago, and it was a LOT easier than I thought it would be. The hardest part was when the front diff drain plug got stripped, and I finally had to have someone else get it off for me by drilling/tapping it out, but the actual process wasn't bad at all. Granted, mine's an early model ('02), but as long as the general process is the same, it may be a lot easier than you think. Go for it!

What's the recommended fluids for the LSD rear?

Anyone using Amsoil SVG 75w-90?

We just changed the fluids in our vette w/ LSD and used the Amsoil Severe Gear synthetic lube (recommended by other vette owners).

Oh hell, I don't have to worry about doing mine for a long time anyway!
But...atleast I'll know.
