NorCal Snow Run - Saturday Dec. 11th

We'll be up in the Eagle Lakes/Fordyce area Saturday. Be at the trailhead by 11AM. The Eagle Lakes exit is about 45 miles east of Auburn on Insterstate 80. There is a gas station one exit east at Cisco Grove.

Exit on Eagle Lakes road, turn left and drive under the freeway. Follow the pavement for less than a mile and look on the north side of the road for the trailhead that leads to the staging area. It should be pretty obvious from tracks in the snow.

Please make sure to bring proper snow gear, everyone should have a strap and a shovel. Plan on getting stuck a few times.

wee!should be snowing for the next 2 days.i went snow wheeling just this sunday.off hwy 120 near longbarn.i need a winch.

I was looking forward to this but due to recent events (namely my jackassedness) I won't be able to make it. :xcrybaby:

Why can't you make it? Your truck looks driveable!

I don't think I'll be camping this trip, just a day trip for me.

true it is driveable but I am not sure how much bouncing around that windsheild can take before it gets not driveable. I *should* also be studing for finals and finishing writing some papers.

WEEEE SNOW!!!
looks like ill be heading up on friday morning to hit squaw or possibly another resort in that area... That means snow camping friday night!
If you are interested in some riding/skiing on friday, let me know, or if u just want to beat the Sat morning traffic and head up to camp with us on Friday night, thatll work too!

Thanks John! Since the holidays are here, I am limited on days that I can request off (pretty much none) so I will not be able to make the snow trip. I'm planning on making the snow trip in Feb though.

got a place were we are camping ? im heading to rei this weekn to pick up some freeze dry food/matress/ other things
