This only effects California.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

The Center for Biological Diversity's Petition to ask for a statewide ban on lead ammunition is officially scheduled for the Fish and Game Commission's February 3 meeting in San Diego, Agenda Item # 17.

Please contact the commission and voice your objection to this unscientific, premature, and unnecessary attack on hunters and shooting sports participants, across the state, on this ridiculous claim that lead ammunition is the cause of the decline of the California Condor. Even the organization re-releasing the Condors into the wild disagrees
with the claims in the petition by these extremist organizations.

Location of the 2-day hearing is:

Hubbs Sea World Research Institute
Shedd Auditorium
2595 Ingraham St.
San Diego, CA

Start time of the first day of the hearing is:
Thursday, February 3, at 10:00 AM.
Being a late agenda item, it might conceivably
be held on either Thursday or Friday, the 4th.

Parties likely to be adversely affected include:
Law Enforcement- shooting range issues
Upland bird hunters- lead shot
Skeet and clays aficionados- shooting range issues
Single Action/Cowboy Action fans-shooting range issues
Big game hunters- "gut pile" and lost game issues
Varmint hunters-shooting range and left-behind/lost varmint issues
Varmint control personnel/Ranchers/Farmers- left behind/lost varmint issues
Muzzle-loader/Black powder hunters- gut pile and lost game issues.

RIGHT NOW IS THE TIME FOR YOU TO CONTACT THE COMMISSION

Just ask them to say NO to this unreasonable petition, Agenda Item # 17

Letters and comments should be sent before or by the 3rd to:
